Tolkien Draws Maps!

Dear Fellow Tolkien Nerds,
Are you interested in learning about Middle Earth? Take a look at the LOTR project.
Here you can search places, events, and timelines. The website is designed very well and is aesthetically pleasing the website just gives information about the map, but nothing about the place. The website is used for data visualization. It has variety of demographics graphs explaining the different races.

Some of the unique features is the ability to search paths that the characters in the books took, and who went with who. The blog gives an extensive look on the places and and where they are located. Another nice feature is you can get the app, but there is no link that leads you to the App store or Google play. The map's purpose is to show the map through statistics.

However, the blog is very glitchy and you are not able look at the website without looking and out of the map. It is not user friendly for those that want to take a closer look, and the map could show things more in detail without having to zoom in. When the viewer zooms in closer it is very hard to move around on the map.

If you are interested in illustrators on Middle-Earth maps attached below is a video. The video is published by Lydia Raw. This is her only video that she has uploaded.

If you are satisfied you ought to look at another interactive map done by Amazon . The map in my opinion is done way better. You are able to see all of the details of the map with higher resolution. But a feature that is missing is that it is not as interactive as the other map. Unlike the other map you are able to download which is a nice feature for those that either want to share it or use it in their power point. The other feature that it offers is that you are able to see the map with the names or no names. And you are able to see the map at different angles and different parts.
