Howard Shore's opera magna

Hello, my fellow readers! Welcome once again to my place, where I will be showing you some amazing new content. Today's topic, as you can probably guess by the title, is music. Howard Shore was the composer of the Lord Of The Rings amazing soundtrack.

It is no mystery that the film would not be the same without the soundtrack. It helps setting the mood for every scene. It is so well done that it fits perfectly for every part of any film. From Hobbiton to Mordor, it suits correctly. It even has some details for every character or group of characters: there are some groups of notes specifically made for the Fellowship, others for each character and even one for Rohan or the Rohirrim. The best way to learn about this amazing work of art is yo watch a series of videos that I will link. They have been recorded by a Spanish youtuber called Jaime Altozano, who is also a musician himself. His videos analyzing soundtracks or simply teaching music are popular in Spain, but these videos were specially relevant, as they were in some way the ones that launched him into fame.  I highly recommend you to see the videos even if you have not watched the films.

If you are curious about a specific song or piece of the soundtrack, there is a very nice website called The Music of Middle Earth on which you can find anything. The way it works is fairly simple: it is like a library, where you can look specifically what you are looking for. You have got a lot of subdivisions and orders, so you can search in different ways. They have got a mobile app too, which works fairly well, as you can download the music too so you can put it as a ring tone. There is no special thing going on in this web, and in my opinion that is one of the most cool things about it. Nowadays we are accustomed to see webs full of things, widgets, decorations and unnecessary things that lead us away from the main point. With the simple and elegant design this web has, it leads you the purpose it has been created for: looking for the music you want. That explains the hypertext scheme used here. If you like any specific piece, you can have extra information on it, like the instruments they use or the meaning behind the lyrics.

Well guys, I hope you have liked today's post. From now on, I think you will not see the films the same way as before.

See you soon,
Jaime
