An amazing discovery

Hello, fellow readers! Welcome once again to my little place, where YOU will be reading ME while I try to throw some light at your cultural shade.

This time I am going to talk about an amazing discovery I made some months ago while I was surfing through the Internet. It is one of the most amazing works that exist nowadays to the topic of this blog. It's an interactive map for the Middle Earth, the place where almost all  all the action from the legendarium takes place. Apart from the fact that from an artistic point of view, it is nicely done, the map is full of options. It has been created with data collected from all the books and notes from Tolkien, so we could say that it is fairly accurate in terms of distance and time.

Some of the most interesting characteristics come from the fact that it is interactive. This way you can choose different ways for data visualization. You can choose to independently see or cross some of the paths followed by the main characters. Also, you can see where the major events take place in the map. In order to do these things, the web has also got a semi-complete timeline, which I have spoke about before. The fact that they have collected all the informtion related to the narrative of the Lord Of The Rings is actually astonishing, and we are not even addressing the fact that they present it in a clean and useful way.

This work could not be more proper.  It does not exceed nor gets short in any of its features. Maybe they will be adding more content with the production of the new series, thought it is yet to see how will it develop.

As a matter of fact, there are other places narrated in the Silmarillion. For example, Beleriand. In this case, as the information for this is not as complete as the one for the Middle Earth, it is not as full. However, it is still perfectly done. The same exactitude for the paths and times.

Well guys, I think this is all for today. I hope y'all enjoyed this once again. I hope to see you soon,
Jaime
